This tiny South End neighborhood café serves only breakfast and lunch (get it?), largely to the army of employees at the nearby Boston Medical Center. Well, now that secret's out. And here's another one: You can earn a complimentary coffee if you look in the right places. Find the electric utility boxes painted by local artist Christos Hamawi for a free cappuccino to accompany the hearty breakfast or lunch sandwiches à la carte, including eggwiches and bagelwiches served all days and oversized pressed paninis on bread baked fresh on site. There are also fresh-baked muffins, individual-sized quiches, and salads. With only a few counter seats, and plastic plates and forks, this place is best for takeout.
