How to snag a seat at Fenway—without buying a ticket
G
etting tickets to a Red Sox game these days is nearly impossible, but visiting Bleacher Bar on Lansdowne Street is like sitting right in center field—and you don't have to deal with the scalpers. The bar is behind the Green Monster, offering a floor-to-ceiling window view of the ballpark. In addition to booze and baseball, it offers up a full menu of such things as all-beef sliders (irony apparently intended). There’s no cover charge (including on Friday and Saturday nights, when there's free music after 9 p.m.), and prices are surprisingly reasonable, although there is a 45-minute limit on sitting at the tables with the best views. The bar is open year-round, and the views of Fenway in the uncrowded off season are also pretty cool. Rineman
