t would almost be enough for us that Savinos Grill is one of the few places in Belmont with a full bar. But every night there is a party. Monday is Pasta Night, with a prix-fixe menu; Margaritaville Wednesdays serve up a tapas menu, just in time for Girls' Night Out; and the restaurant hosts live jazz on Thursdays, in addition to the delicious portions of pistachio-encrusted tilapia (above) and steamed mussels in a citrus, vodka and garlic sauce. And beers at the bar are happy-hour-priced for game nights during baseball season. Carriero
Shhhh! Seafood is a specialty of chef and owner Tom Cutrone, who previously worked at restaurants including Le Bocage, the Tuscan Grill, and L'Espalier.

Belmont was the headquarters of the John Birch Society, the ultraconservative, rabidly anticommunist, conspiracy-obsessed organization that, among other things, opposed the Civil Rights Act as a communist plot. It was housed at 395 Concord Ave. until moving to Wisconsin in 1989.
