eing a guinea pig isn’t such a bad thing when you’re at Legal Test Kitchen, where chefs test new dishes for parent Legal Sea Foods. But the real secret about LTK is that it serves until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday (and 1 a.m. other nights). The menu changes every six weeks, and chefs prepare a new set course weekly, from drinks to dessert. Araki
Shhhh! The first Legal Sea Foods was also a spinoff. It was opened next to founder George Berkowitz’s fish market in Inman Square, and served on paper plates at picnic tables.

Legal Sea Foods bought the Lady Grace, which stood in for the swordfishing boat the Andrea Gail in the 2000 film The Perfect Storm, and donated it to the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center, which promptly sold it.
