n early morning for some, a late night for others, 4 a.m. is opening time of Twin Donuts—and the best time to pick up the absolutely freshest, hottest, and sweetest of its namesake product. Trust us: Go with the jelly, stuffed to bursting. With its retro sign, Twin Donuts is one of those gems that hides in plain sight. Sure, it's a dive, but the point is that it's open and the doughnuts are hot. Even at 4 a.m., you may have to wait for one of the small number of tables if the drunken college kids get there before you, but the service is fast. Moskal
