Steak tips worth going out of your way for
T
he first thing you see when you walk into Sonny Noto’s is usually Sonny himself. Also behind the counter are his son and brother in law, and pictures of the grandkids. But what will soon distract you from the friendly welcome and the no-frills setup are the steak tips, expertly grilled in a sweet marinade and served in huge portions with iceberg lettuce. If you’re really hungry you can get the steak tips with chicken, sausage, and shrimp, all at ridiculously low prices. The steak bomb, equally huge, is stuffed with grilled mushrooms, peppers, onions, and just the right amount of cheese. Also available are Italian plates, from rich fettuccini Alfredo to classic chicken or eggplant parmigiana. Breakfast features made-to-order omelets and tasty French toast. There’s a new location in Wakefield. Jacobson
