But Delio Susi, Jr., who named the place (and his daughter) for his late Italian-chef mother, has created a friendly restaurant that's a favorite with locals—the same three guys sit at the bar pretty much every happy hour—just off the beaten path of Kendall Square. His design training isn't the only thing that gives Amelia's a twist of class. So is the food, including vegetarian dishes like the Hooka panini.
