ar off the beaten track, Mr. Dooley’s Boston Tavern seems to have been plucked from Ireland and tucked into a little-trafficked side street in the Financial District. And the locals like it that way. The food’s pretty good—try the Menino, a beefed-up steak burger marinated in Merlot and matched with mushrooms to give Mayor Tom Menino a whole new flare. Come back the next morning for a tasty, traditional Irish breakfast or stop in on a Tuesday to wet your whistle with a whiskey and a Johnny Cash cover band. Pinkney
