A cozy pub with great food—if you know when to go

he Plough and Stars is a good place to hang out any night for comfort food and live music in a cozy, candlelit pub. But some of the best stuff is a secret, except to the regulars, and served up only twice a week. On Wednesdays enjoy Watch Hill oysters and on Sunday co-owner Brendan Fritus pulls out some old southern recipes with his own peppery kick for a chicken and fish fry, with a side of live bluegrass. Shhh who knew
The Plough constellation was the symbol of the Irish Citizen Army during the 1916 Easter Rising, representing the rebellion's goal that a free Ireland control its own destiny, from the plough to the stars.
