A little-known escape along the Charles

Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, and a six-foot misting sculpture, granite stairway to the water's edge, and fiber-optic lighting. Take a stroll by the Charles along manicured pathways or sit on a bench to enjoy the sun. The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge is the world's widest cable-stayed bridge. It's named for the late Boston-based New England director of the Anti-Defamation League, who reached out to black and Catholic leaders and received the Knighthood of St. Gregory from Pope John Paul II.
